John T. Powen is of counsel to the firm. Mr. Powen was previously with Sidley & Austin in Chicago, and was a partner with Kessler Smith & Powen from 1995 - 1999. He has substantial experience in commercial real estate development law and litigation. In addition to his role as of counsel with the firm, he holds a senior management position with a prominent real estate developer in Chicago.
